Hawkins Enterprises has worked in the Materials Handling business since 1987, originally as a controls subcontractor. Ed Williams, who joined our staff in 1998, has been in the conveyor business for many years. He was previously the General Manager of a major Texas material handling company. It was for Ed's conveyor installations that we built the controls for the O'Reilly Auto Supply distribution warehouse, the parts shipping system for two Motorola plants, several installations at Kelly Air Force Base, overhead conveyors for Rheem and Modine companies, both in Nueva Laredo, Mexico, and the Inmate Property Conveyor for Bexar County Jail.

Since Ed has joined our staff, Hawkins Enterprises is doing design and construction of conveyor systems. As a Material Handling company we can supply our customers with all types of work space and warehouse equipment: Conveyors and conveyor systems, dock equipment, pallet rack, shelving, bulk storage rack, cantilever rack, modular drawers, and storage bins. We offer a complete line of mezzanines, modular offices, wire partitions for security and vertical conveyors to carry pallets and product cartons or totes to upper levels for storage.

To date our experience with material handling is limited to boxes, parts shipping totes, powdered products such as flour, frozen ice cream, water, acid, pallets, rocks, and inventory bar codes. We are always waiting for the next adventure in material handling. It is assured that someone will ask us to find a way to move, handle, measure, and control something new in the near future. As is apparent, our experience with material and product handling is not very 'limited'.
